VMware Workstation enables technical professionals to develop, test, demonstrate, and deploy software by running multiple Windows, Linux, and other x86-based operating systems simultaneously on a single computer.
You can replicate server, desktop, and tablet environments in a virtual machine and assign multiple CPU cores, gigabytes of main memory, and graphics memory to each virtual machine, whether the virtual machine is on a PC or in the company’s private cloud. .

Problems solved
The following issues have been resolved in VMware Workstation 11.1.
A Linux guest operating system booted with EFI firmware sometimes became unresponsive to the keyboard and mouse when mouse movement occurred for a short period of time while the operating system was booting. This issue has been resolved.
Outlook 2010 sometimes crashes when running in Unity mode. This issue has been resolved.
A permanent disk cannot be compressed or defragmented. This issue has been resolved.
The UI sometimes crashed when the user copied and pasted a file between two Windows guests. This issue has been resolved.
Fixed rendering corruption of UI elements in Fedora 20 invites with 3D enabled.
When creating a new virtual machine with SUSE Linux Enterprise (SLE) 12, the Easy Install path was not available. This issue has been resolved.
